We work with government and non-government organisations, global agencies and the private sector across the Indo-Pacific to deliver specialised search and rescue training, systems and consultancy services. Our expert team of Search & Rescue practitioners work closely with State and Territory Police in the review of matters associated with search and rescue missions. We are also called upon from time-to-time by the respective State and Territory Coroner’s office to provide an experts review of particular incidents relating to search and rescue matters. These services include expert witness and when required in-court cross examination as part of the Coronial Inquest process. This highly specialised service demonstrates our expertise and how highly regarded SAR Training Australia is within the emergency services and search and rescue industry.
On the 1st November 2024, Search & Rescue (SAR) Training Australia became an approved supplier for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Learning and Development panel.

SAR Training Australia is currently engaged through the PNG-Australian Policing Partnership to deliver key search & rescue training to the Royal PNG Constabulary Water Police. Our work is supporting the PNG Government as they introduce the former Tasmanian Police Vessel, PV/Van Diemen into service.
SAR Training Australia has been entrusted with supporting this key Indo – Pacific Partner in introducing a key sovereign capability that will enhance regional security and prosperity.
We are pleased to release the First Responders Land Operations Course for Indo-Pacific nations. This course is designed to equip Police, Military and Civil Defence Officers throughout the Indo-Pacific with vital Land SAR knowledge and skills. This online course has been developed in conjunction with our SAR Training Australia Land SAR experts, Dr. Jim Whitehead APM, and Dr. Paul Luckin AM.
SAR Training Australia is supporting the YWAM Hospital Ship in PNG with InReach Garmin explorers. These devices are accompanying medical teams as they access some of the most remote parts of the globe. Our work is providing greater safety and communications capabilities in support of the lifesaving work that YWAM undertakes.
SAR Training Australia is the preferred SAR training provider for MRCC Port Moresby. Our teams provide a range of virtual, in-country and Australian based training and consultancy options for this Foreign Government Entity. The PNG-Australia Transport Support Program (TSSP) is a key Australian Aide Program delivering important outcomes for PNG Transport Infrastructure.
SAR Training Australia has partnered with VRA Rescue NSW to develop a First Responders LandSAR Awareness course. This course provides operational supervisors and regional coordinators with essential skills and knowledge to support State and Territory Police. This course has been designed to offer training to key volunteer organisations such as VRA Rescue & the SES.

SAR Training Australia has a long-standing relationship with the Australian Defence Force in delivering MilSAR Search and Rescue Coordination Training. This critical capability has been delivered at the highest stand by our teams for over 15 years. We continue to work closely with the ADF in providing this key sovereign capability.
